LEEF, hosted by Harrisburg University, will take place in downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. As the State Capitol, Harrisburg offers convenient transportation services, ample hotel options and an active night life featuring Restaurant Row. Consider extending your stay in the Capitol Region when you’re attending the forum and enjoy a variety of local attractions including amusement parks, museums and historical tours.
Harrisburg is within a four hour drive from many major cities on the east cost, including New York (3 hours), Philadelphia (2.5 hours), Pittsburgh (3.5 hours), Washington, D.C (3 hours) and Baltimore (1.5 hours). For those traveling from a further distance, the Harrisburg International Airport is just a 20 minute drive from the University and provides easy in-out access for air travel throughout the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, within one block of the University is the Amtrak train station, enabling convenient travel, particularly for those arriving from the Pittsburgh, Philadelphia or New York areas.
LEEF was an interactive professional development event that explored the use of games, simulations and virtual worlds for learning. The program showcased how learning and entertainment technologies have converged, and continue to evolve, to produce new, immersive solutions that are redefining the learning experience.
